About the series

The Connection Project explores how trust reveals itself in our bodies when we are with the people around whom we can be fully ourselves. My process begins with finding participants who possess an exceptional awareness of their bodies, often through dance, fitness, modeling, or other creative practices. I photograph them with intimate partners or long-term collaborators—people with whom they can relax and be themselves. That familiarity brings an added layer of vulnerability and trust. By creating a safe space for exploration and improvisation, we make something distinct each time: images that feel raw and honest, yet remain deeply personal to each pair. The resulting photographs invite viewers to consider trust, connection, intimacy, and vulnerability.
